Privacypolicy
This site is operated for BAIC by Universal Motors Ltd, the importer and distributor of BAIC vehicles in Mauritius. This policy explains what is collected when you use the site and how it is handled.
Data we collect
The only personal data collected here is what you type into an enquiry or test-drive form: your name, email address, telephone number, the model you are interested in, a preferred date where you supply one, and your message. The site does not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, arrange a test drive and follow up on that request. They are not used for unrelated marketing unless you ask to be contacted about future models.
Sharing and processors
Enquiries are stored in the site's hosted database and are read by Universal Motors Ltd staff. Data is not sold, and it is not shared with third parties other than the hosting and database providers that operate this site.
Brochure downloads
When you download a brochure we collect your name, where you give one, and your email address. They are used to send you information about the vehicle and to answer any enquiry that follows. The data is held by Universal Motors Ltd and is not shared with third parties. You may ask for it to be deleted at any time by contacting Universal Motors Ltd. The retention period and the data controller's registered contact address are TBC.
Retention
Enquiries are kept for as long as they remain useful for after-sales follow-up, and are deleted on request.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to info@universalmotors.mu and the request will be actioned.
